Andy started full time at 1st 2nd Mortgage in 1996, the day after he took both his New York and New Jersey Bar Examinations. However, his real start date was in 1982, when the company first opened. Andy was the company’s third hire at the age of 11 where he made copies for his father, Andy Pada, Sr., the Founder and President of 1st 2nd Mortgage. Andy has worked in all areas of mortgage banking – from origination to servicing. He has served on numerous panels, advised departments of banking, and taught countless mortgage professionals. He currently oversees all areas of the company’s day-to-day operations with a focus on the development and implementation of high-level strategies and setting the company’s forward direction.

Brian Borchard

Managing Director of National Sales and Recruiting

Brian has 20 years in the mortgage banking industry with a proven track record as a top producing loan officer, sales/branch manager, and executive. He started his mortgage career as a Loan Officer for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in New Jersey. He is a highly successful individual and producer who closed as much as 50 Million dollars in volume in one year. Brian currently oversees all sales, branching, marketing and recruiting at 1st 2nd Morgage of New Jersey.

Born in California, raised in New Jersey, now living in Miami he has covered and traveled most of the United States during the foreclosure epidemics of years past. Yadira Soto

Business Development Manager

Yadira has been in the mortgage industry for 17 years and joined 1st 2nd Mortgage in 2017. She is one of the key operation managers who ensure uniform and streamlined processes that help the flow of all loans. Additionally, she is responsible for branch development. Yadira truly understands the importance of relationships in business, and how important it is to maintain those connections as Branch Managers and Loan Originators move forward with a new company.

Thessa De Mesa

Quality Control / Underwriting Manager

Thessa began her career in the mortgage industry in 2008 as a loan processor at 1st 2nd Mortgage. Within two years, she was promoted to head processor and junior underwriter, and in 2013, she became the chief underwriter. Her quick rise is a testament to her diligence, knowledge, and leadership. While she oversees the underwriting and post-closing department, she is also involved in ensuring the company’s compliance with industry standards as well as other activities related to operations.

Jesica Struck

Head DE Underwriter / Renovation Manager

Jesica started as a loan processor in 2005, after graduating from the University of Maryland with a BA.  She brought her exuberient attitude, her years of experience and her sharp focus to 1st 2nd Mortgage Company in 2017.  Demonstrative of her dedication and expertise, Jesica quickly become our Head DE Underwriter.  Our clients also benefit from her experience in the industry and her professional contacts through her role as Renovation Manager.

Lisa Feher

Underwriter

Lisa has been in the mortgage industry for 25 years and joined 1st 2nd Mortgage in 2020. Lisa is a DE/VA certified underwriter. Lisa is also a self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and experience in Credit and Collateral underwriting for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA and Non-Agency. She is detail-oriented, analytical thinker, dependable, and dedicated to superior customer service.
